#Checking In: Robinson Club Khao Lak

Robinson Club Khao lak

Every now and then you need a vacation where you actually relax. And that’s why I checked into Robinson Club Khao Lak for a week! Now, I’ll be honest with you, the idea of big resorts kind of stress me out. My firs thought is that I will get bored having to stay on site. But, thankfully, that was not the case with the Robinson Club Khao Lak. In fact, it was the complete opposite of that!

#Checking In: Robinson Club Khao Lak

How To Get There

Robinson Club Khao lak

After our time exploring Bangkok, we hopped on a plane to Phuket. When we arrived in Phuket, we were meant to meet someone from the club there. As our plane landed a few minutes early, we waited about ten minutes for them to arrive. After that, we hopped into a private car and traveled about an hour and 45 minutes to Robinson Club Khao Lak.

Checking In

Upon arrival, we were greeted by multiple staff members at the resort. We were given cold hand towels (which I desperately needed as I was a bit sick), and a refreshing drink. We checked in at reception and then hopped on a golf cart to get to our room. And we were pleasantly surprised to see that we would be staying in a beach front pool villa.

The Rooms

There are several room types on property. We stayed at one of the many beach front pool villas. The room was beautiful. There was a massive bed (Jake and I felt like we were sleeping in separate beds the entire time). There was a huge bathroom with a large tub, walk in shower, and two sinks. Our room faced the ocean so we woke up to gorgeous views each day. And when you went outside, there was a small pool, lounger, and pool chairs. When you walked onto the beach we had our own private area with chairs and an umbrella.

Other room types include: a double room, larger villas/suites, family rooms, and suites in the main building.

Full Board

Robinson Club Khao lak

We were booked onto the full board plan at the Robinson Club Khao Lak. This meant that we had access to the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also could visit the BistroLine, which served small plates between 3-5 pm for a snack. The drinks included were coffee, soft drinks from the buffet, drinking water, and table wine and beer at the buffet.

If you want to enjoy a beverage or cocktail at one of the bars, you have to pay. But, the prices weren’t too bad and after a week, we only spent about 150 pounds on cocktails/other drinks/the minibar between the two of us!

The Facilities

Good For The Kiddos and Couples

Robinson Club Khao lak

This resort is great for families and couples. Robinson Club Khao Lak does a great job of separating everything. In fact, we didn’t feel like we were staying at a family resort when we weren’t at meals. And that’s because there is an adults area and a children area. There is also a kids club called the ROBY CLUB.

The Spa – WellFit

The Spa at Robinson Club Khao lak

During my stay, I was lucky enough to experience an aromatherapy massage. It was incredible. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Upon arrival to the spa I was given a delicious juice and a cold towel while I checked in. Afterwards I was led down a beautiful walkway and into a gorgeous room. My massage was incredibly relaxing. When it was finished I was given ginger tea and some tasty cookies!

Entertainment

Robinson Club Khao lak

If you’re looking for some fun entertainment, this is the place to find it! Each night there is something different going on. We went to a white party, enjoyed a fire show on the beach, and even a little street food pop up market for dinner one night.

Sports

Robinson Club Khao lak

We were so relaxed that we didn’t participate in any of the sports. But, there are a ton on offer. Simply check the daily program ( which has a convenient app you can download) and take part in paddle boarding, golf, tennis, football, and more!

Excursions

We booked our excursions ahead of time, but you can do it once you arrive! There is a TUI office onsite which offers a ton of trip ideas to explore the nearby area. We went to Khao Sok National Park and took a snorkeling trip to the Surin Islands/

Doctor On Site

Unfortunately I was pretty sick during my stay at Robinson Club Khao Lak. But, they have a doctor onsite that was able to sort me out. He was very helpful, gave me antibiotics, and sent me on my way to recovery. It costs about 2000 baht to see the doctor. You’ll also be charged for any medication. But, the doctor will give you all of the information you would need to make a claim with your travel insurance.

My six night, full board stay, as well as an aromatherapy massage was gifted to me by Robinson Club.

As always all opinions are my own!
