#Checking In: Crowne Plaza White Plains

I recently went home to New York for my cousin’s wedding. While there, I knew that I wanted to stay at a hotel instead of with family. But, I still wanted to be located close to my family and all of the places I’m used to going to so I could be comfortable. We decided on the Crowne Plaza because of its central location and the fact that it was okay that we didn’t have a car. I had stayed there before, many years ago when our apartment was under renovation, but it had been awhile!

The Location

The Crowne Plaza is located in Downtown White Plains. It’s in a great area because you can walk to a number of different places. The train station is a little bit less than a mile away, so you can get into NYC quickly. There are shops and restaurants five minutes up the road. There are two shopping malls as well as a movie theater and target nearby. There’s even a Whole Foods across the street.

When you stay at the Crowne Plaza, you don’t actually need a car, which is not something you can usually say for a town located outside of the city.

The Hotel

When you check into the Crowne Plaza White Plains, you’re checking into your home away from home. The rooms feature premium bedding, free wifi, a quiet zone, a fitness center, indoor pool, restaurant, and a bar. The rooms are extremely comfortable and have wonderful amenities (I’m talking conditioner that actually works). And if you’re interested in a little late night snack, you can order room service to help with that craving.

The Food

Perhaps my favorite part of staying at the Crowne Plaza is their food! It is so delicious. One morning we indulged in the breakfast buffet. Choose from waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, bagels, croissants, and meats and cheeses. And if that isn’t enough for you, order eggs any style from your table!

The next morning we decided on breakfast in bed and had the most amazing siracha chicken and waffles and avocado toast with shrimp. I’m telling you, this food was incredibly mouthwatering. Do yourself a favor and enjoy breakfast there at least one morning during your stay!

Travel Colorfully was a welcomed guest of the Crowne Plaza White Plains, but as always all opinions are my own.
