A Weekend at: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

A few weeks ago I headed up to Orlando with my Mom to visit Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It’s a short two and a half hour ride up the turnpike. We spent our first day over at Islands of Adventure. We went into the park an hour before it opened to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you stay at a Universal Studios Resort, you have that opportunity! Trust me, its totally worth it. The lines were so much shorter than they usually would be (because lets be honest, most people head over to the Universal parks in Orlando to visit Hogwarts…).

Islands of Adventures features different themed islands consisting of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Toon Lagoon, Marvel Super Hero Island, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, and Seuss Landing.

We headed over to Jurassic Park and then to Toon Lagoon to get the water rides out of the way! We didn’t want to break up the water rides so that we wouldn’t keep drying off and getting wet again. I didn’t get too wet until we went on the Popeye themed ride, Popeye & Bluto’s Blige-Rat Barges.

My Mom’s favorite ride was the Spiderman Ride and mine as always was Dudley-Do Right’s Ripsaw Falls.

The next day we visited Universal Studios and walked around New York, San Francisco, London and more! I fell in love with the new Gringotts Ride as well as the Minion Ride. My Mom loved the Transformers Ride.

I’m happy to have visited Universal and I will have to head back to Orlando at some point soon.
