As a big traveler, I find that I don’t take time out to explore my own backyard. I decided to make an effort to do that since I returned to New York. So, I took the train into NYC to take in a beautiful view. I ventured up to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center to see what has to be the best view in all of New York City.
Top of The Rock
The Top of The Rock is located on the 70th floor of Rockefeller Center, giving you the best view of the city from all sides. You can purchase tickets for $26-$32 dollars if you’re interested in seeing the city from the sky. But, you can also purchase combination tickets for more money. The observation decks are open daily (7 days a week, 365 days a year) from 8AM until 12AM, rain or shine. When you purchase your ticket, you will choose a time slot in which your visit will take place.
It gets more crowded around sunset, because who can blame people for wanting to experience the best light possible. And, let me tell you, that golden hour was perfect. So, if you’re interested in getting photos without anyone in them, either schedule your slot for a slower one or prepare to wait for people to move out of your shot.
Best View In NYC
My favorite part of the whole experience was seeing all of the different views. Depending on where you were on the observation deck, the views were very different. The vast greenery of Central Park and the stunning views of the Empire State Building impressed me.
