Rome wasn’t built in a day…

Rome

Rome wasn’t built in a day…right? So you really shouldn’t give yourself only a day to see it. The city is massive and there is a lot to see. You can walk to so many places and see so much of the city if you have more time. But, if a day is all you have, here is a little list of things to do during your time there. I’ve been to Rome several times now and I have one big tip. Remember, as always, to book all of your tickets ahead of time. This well help you avoid the MASSIVE lines that you can find at all of Rome’s historical and most touristy spots. A lot of people either love Rome, or hate it. Don’t take their opinions into account, FORM YOUR OWN! Its a busy city, but its filled with so much history that you must go at least one in your life.

Visit the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica
Take in some history and visit Vatican City. If you come at the right time, you might even be able to hear the Pope read mass.
Head over to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum

Pretend you’re a gladiator for the day and that you live in ancient times.

See the Pantheon

It’s the most preserved building in all of Rome, so you shouldn’t miss it.

Make a wish at the Trevi Fountain

Toss a coin over your shoulder and your wish might come true!

People watch on the Spanish Steps

Grab a bottle of wine, fresh meats, a baguette, and some cheese and watch the fancy people go by.

Wander into a random sandwich spot and get the best sandwich you can order.

Prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, pesto, oh my. After trying countless sandwiches, that would be my go to.

Gelato.

Need I say more?
