Even though I’m only an hour away from Miami, I love zipping down there for a long weekend. And Washington Park Hotel makes it seem like I’m on vacation the second I check in. The art deco hotel, located in South Beach, is the perfect home base while you explore everything that Miami has to offer. Close to the beach (and with it’s own beach access/chairs), Washington Park Hotel is anything but an ordinary place.
Checking Into Washington Park Hotel
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by many smiling faces (which makes all the difference in the world when you call hotels home 90% of the time). You’ll be handed a complimentary cocktail while you check in and the receptionist will hand you a map outlining the property and its amenities. Some of those include:
- Option for breakfast
- Gym
- Pool
- Beach access
- Tuk Tuk that will take you to the beach
- Bicycles
- Swizzle Bar
- Employees Only Restaurant
- Complimentary access to the Wolfsonian Museum across the street
Your Room
The rooms are beautifully decorated and super comfortable. The bed was perfect and the bathrobes were great for chilling out. The hotel has several buildings that you can stay in. We stayed in the main building and despite being on the first floor (something I usually try to avoid), you couldn’t hear a thing when it was time to go to bed.
The Artwork
Washington Park Hotel has done something really awesome. They have featured several local photographer’s art throughout the hotel. And the images are stunning. They really capture the spirit of Miami and offer inspiration to its guests. The photos range from black and white prints to vibrant images with bold colors.
